Once through boilers
The steam generator is a mono tube flash boiler. "Once through
boiler" means that the feedwater enters into one end of a heated tube and
steam exits from the other end. The steam demand controls the feedwater supply
directly.
The steam generator is inherent safe. An explosion in a
generator is "almost" harmless due to relatively low water quantity
in the tube coil.
Rapid start-up and quick response to changes in steam demand are some other
advantages with the steam generator.
